Bias Media Reporting – 7.30 Report on Black Cohosh

Once again we see some less than professional journalism from the ABC and the 7.30 Report. Here we have a woman claiming to have suffered liver complications due to liver injury apparently by taking Black Cohosh. This is a very old and very INACCURATE report that has long been disputed and proven such by Professor Kerry Bone, Australia’s and perhaps the world’s leading authority on botanical medicine. Professor Bone wrote on this topic in 2006, yes, 2006! The document is here http://craighitchenstherapies.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Black-Cohosh-and-Liver-Injury.pdf simply click on it and read it for yourself.

It is high time media outlets like this got their facts straight about such matters as this paint our profession in a dim light making it look, very deliberately one can only assume, like it is second rate and using bad science. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! It is in fact the pharmaceutical industry that uses dodgey science and creates poisons in the guise of medicines that create more problems than they solve not herbalists or naturopaths.

I would urge you to file a complaint with 7.30 Report on the ABC and support our profession as we are truly here to help you, not get rich off selling you dodgey medicines made from questionable science!
